At the recent Buderim Street Party, over 300 bromeliad plants (and plenty of flyers) were given out advertising the annual Buderim Gardens Festival, which is held over the weekend of Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October.
This is the major event for the Buderim Garden Club and is run in conjunction with the Sculpture Garden Exhibition at the Buderim Craft Cottage, adjacent to the main event at the Buderim War Memorial Hall (corner of Main and Church Streets, Buderim).
The Hall will be filled with a Floral Art, Plant and Photographic competition and the adjacent grounds will be a spectacular display of plants for sale.
There are six open gardens across Buderim, including my own sanctuary away from public life, 'Karmaplace'.
Festival tickets are only $15 and allow access to the gardens, hall and its surrounds. For more information, see the Buderim Garden Club website here.
