Member for Buderim Steve Dickson has congratulated Fusion Sunshine Coast on its successful application for the 2015 Queensland Week Sponsorship Program.
Mr Dickson said he was thrilled to announce the group would receive funding to host Buderim Queensland Week Youth Festival as part of next year’s Queensland Week calendar of events.
“Queensland Week is a time for Queenslanders to come together to celebrate our great state and reflect on what it means to be a Queenslander,” Mr Dickson said.
“The Queensland Week Sponsorship Program ensures this significant occasion is celebrated from one end of the state to the other.
“I am excited to see the Sunshine Coast included in the 2015 Queensland Week program and am confident that Fusion Sunshine Coast will deliver a successful community event.”
The Buderim Queensland Week Youth Festival will be held on Saturday 6th June, 2015 at Aussie World.
“I encourage all members of our community to show support for Queensland Week by attending the event with will include live music, information stalls and displays, leadership activities, rides, competitions and much more,” Mr Dickson said.
Queensland Week marks the state’s official separation from New South Wales in 1859 and next year it will be celebrated from 30 May to 7 June 2015.

A total of $85,000 in sponsorship funding was on offer as part of the 2015 program.
